Stepping Into Something New

Updated: Dec 18, 2025

A short origin story

A wise professor once told me, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade." It might have taken a little longer than planned, but I finally developed a great recipe.

Two years ago, I stepped away from my last position for an opportunity to recharge, refocus and determine what I wanted the next stage of my career to look like. I've always been passionate about my work, so giving myself that space was necessary and meaningful.

What I didn't expect was for the DC job market to shift so dramatically during that pause. What I thought would be a brief reset turned into months of rejections and heartbreak I hadn’t anticipated, paired with the unsettling feeling of being adrift. My career has always been an extension of who I am, so when the momentum stopped, it felt like I lost a part of myself.

Eventually, I realized something important. I didn't need to wait for the perfect role to appear. I could create it doing what I love most:

  • Creating order from chaos.

  • Building structure where none exists.

  • Supporting senior leaders and teams so they can focus on what they do best.

  • Crafting experiences that bring people together in meaningful and memorable ways.

With the support of my family, friends and two loyal dogs, I decided to take everything I've learned and built over the years and channel it into something of my own. It's exciting, a little nerve-wracking and absolutely the right next step.

This is the beginning of PNF Consulting.

I am grateful for the time I had to reset and excited to bring together everything I love - operations, events, travel, executive support, process building, creativity and meaningful connection.

If you are looking for someone who turns chaos into clarity, brings calm to complex situations and believes thoughtful work leads to better outcomes for everyone, I'm here and I'm ready.

This is the start of a new adventure. I can't wait to see what we build together.
